And this is why I like my Volvo

Volvo has always been at the forefront of crash test safety, and this Youtube video is a great example of why.  Designed and built in 2000, this design center allowed Volvo to conduct full size crash test of their vehicles from various angles and at speeds in excess of 70 mph.  They even have a Plexiglas floorboard at the impact zone so they can record the impact from underneath the vehicles.

With this Safety Center, they are able to not only run vehicle to vehicle crash tests, they are also able to do roll over testing, as well as crash tests involving inanimate objects such as trees, walls, etc.  This sure beats what our government does, and seems to be a much better regimen than any other automobile manufacturer can provide.
