Business Insider has come up with an easy to follow, step-by-step, DIY instruction on how to lock down your Facebook profile. Following the suggestions from beginning to end may be too draconian, as it defeats the purpose of being part of a social network.
My personal suggestion would be to go through the instructions and pick and choose which you would like to retain and which you would like to lock down. End of the day, follow this golden rule. If you don't want people to know about it, you probably shouldn't have it on your profile to begin with.
