My SO and I tried this recipe on NPR and the result looked like the one in the picture, but tasted too tangy and not savory at all. My SO fixed the issue by adding enough Tapatio to the curry so she couldn't taste anything else.
Not sure what was wrong with the recipe but we'll be finding another version to try later on. The midas standard is still the local "fast food" Indian joint. Their butter chicken is rich and flavorful and savory and perfectly spiced.
