It's nice to know that I'm not the only person who's fed up with the people working at the Palo Alto City Hall. I am extremely amused that they finally pissed someone off who is wealthy and connected enough to make a statement.
I still believe that the employees who work for Palo Alto, or any city for that matter should not be salaried. They should not have the ability to tax or charge whatever fees they wish to pad their salary. Instead, they should be incentive based. Possibly even basing their salary on the city's property values.
I am convinced almost no one who works at the Palo Alto city hall, including the city planner himself, lives in Palo Alto. They obviously have no incentive to treat the residents well. Instead, they will be much more likely to take kickbacks are do other things like buddy buddy up with Corporate America for some side cash.
