Of course, planning ahead before dieting rarely happens, since usually a variety of factors compound incrementally to the point where someone decides to take action, but it would be nice if we could. I had back in the prior fall/winter made peace with my chunky self and we restocked my wardrobe.
Unfortunately for me, nothing fits now. Having gone from a waist size 38"+ to 35", most of the items I purchased in the prior fall/winter no longer fits. Jeans don't fit, shorts don't fit, even my swimsuit no longer fits. I now have over $1,900 in value of barely worn clothes that I will be donating shortly to Goodwill.
I guess the moral of this story is to not purchase expensive items before my weight stabilizes? Or maybe I shouldn't buy expensive fashion clothes at all? I don't know, but I'm pretty sure I could have made use of the money above that's going to Goodwill.
Another interesting thing is this time around, my waist has been decreasing much quicker than my weight would suggest. I remember before when I was around 35" waist, I weighted more around 170 lbs than 190 lbs. Go figure.
