Well, getting there.

Well, I am still too fat to fit into my old Canali suit from Barcelino.

I have always thought that if I buy something of quality, I can keep it around for a very long time and the money spent would be more than made up by my continued utility of the item.  But during my trip down memory lane going through my old wardrobe to find items that may fit my slimmer self, I also realized something else: fashion changes.  The suit that I purchased was a 3-piece suit where the back flap falls almost to my thighs.  The pattern on the fabric is also not really "in" anymore.  In general, this style is no longer in fashion.  In addition, what the heck was I thinking?  The suit looks marginally better than what my grand father would have worn.

Lesson of the day for me is that I should not buy anything overly expensive in fashion. No matter what it is, unless I want to wait another 50-years or so for that "style" to make a comeback, the item will no longer in fashion and I would have just ended up with some really nice cloth and an old looking suit that a grandpa would wear.

But Canali suits fit me like no other suits I have ever worn.  I guess I'll just have to work hard enough to get to the point where buying that suit is no different than me buying another pair of jeans now.
