Food in Maui -- Part 3

Our favorite "cheap eats" in Maui is actually Ululani's Shave Ice in Lahaina.  We frequented this establishment so much that the employees knew our names and even introduced themselves to us.  The syrups were all homemade and made with real fruits.  We highly recommend trying the strawberry, mango, passion fruit, and guava flavors.

Oh, another thing is that you should try to eat as many local fresh fruits as you possibly can.  You will never taste anything close to what you have in Maui at your local mega mart, or farmer's market.  If you're looking for fresh, tasty fish at a reasonable price, check out the Paia Fish Market in Paia.  Don't follow your Google Maps, just remember it's the clock tower building in the town center (it's a small town).  I heard they source their fish from the same fishermen as Mama's Fish House -- so just think about how much you save there.
