I'm not digging the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera

So Porsche just came up with the new 911 Carrera that they are going to preview for the first time ever at the Frankfort Motor Show.  That being said, they decided to provide the media some preview of what the car looks like.  This will be the first new design from Porsche since Volkswagen acquired Porsche (that's a whole another story).  Here was the sneak preview:



I'm not digging the new 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera design.

The front end looks way too Cayman like, and the rear just looks off.  The side shot takes the cake, I think the car is way too long now.  Newer isn't always better...

I really like the 997 Mk 2 -- I guess it will be a good time to buy since the price of those will surely go down for those chasing after the latest and greatest.
