More info on the top 10% of America

The new information shown is based on a per household basis.  This means for a single individual, you would only need to earn ~$80,000/year to hit this threshold.

Yikes, this means most people living in San Francisco Bay Area and New York fall under the category of the top 10% of America.  For the longest time, I felt the top 10% were people who didn't need to ever worry about money.
