If you are serious about losing weight, invest in a good digital scale. Items are heavier than they appear, especially when you are measuring and rationing what you are eating in grams and ounces.
For example, what I thought was a 3.5 ounce steak (calculated by listed total weight of package divided by the number of steaks) actually was more like 5-6 ounces. That's almost double the intake of calories!
