Hotaru Japanese Restaurant

Hotaru in San Mateo has been part of my life for some time now.  I was first introduced to this restaurant when I was in high school by a client of my father.  They frequented this location and would often invite us to join their family for dinner there.

Fast forward to today.  Hotaru is one of the core restaurants I turn to when I am looking for some basic, cheap, and homemade Japanese food.  I prefer their curry and udon noodles, but they are also pretty good at making rolls.

They are also open 365 days a week, which means that no matter the holiday, they will always be there to take care of you with a warm meal!
