Jack's Prime Burgers in San Mateo

My old coworkers and I recently met up over dinner at Jack's Prime to catch up.  I have to admit that the restaurant was a pleasant surprise.  Personally, I prefer the ambiance of Jack's over the more commercialized restaurant, The Counter.  I believe the food is better as well.  Their portions are generous and since I am on a diet, I decided to share a milkshake with my gf and the burger with a coworker.  Because their ground beef is fresh, they are willing to cook your burger any way you'd like, and I would recommend medium to medium-rare.

In preparation for this dinner, I pretty much starved myself all day so I would have enough bankable calories to be able to enjoy this meal, sweet potato fries and all.  I would definitely recommend this to anyone who's interested in a good burger.
