What's next for Yahoo (and for that matter AOL)?

Even the greats fall.  The once powerful AOL (remember they purchased Time Warner) and Yahoo (who once had the opportunity to buy out Google) are now both in the gutter, struggling to revitalize themselves.  I think this is a great example of not having visionary leadership that can either innovate or acquire themselves out of a stalemate.

Yahoo and AOL down in the dumps, independence is looking less and less likely for these Dot com darlings.

Now that Yahoo has fired Carol Bartz, it's next move is clear. The company's board should beg Microsoft or any other interested party to buy it.
